Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 4, 2026
Short version: Anigrid has no user accounts. Your games, scores and settings stay in your own browser. We don’t sell anything about you.
Anigrid (“we”, “us”) is a free website with daily anime games, run by Juan Cruz Rossetti, based in Argentina. This policy explains what information the site uses and why. Contact: info@anigrid.net.
1. What we store on your device
Your games, scores, statistics and settings are saved in your browser’s local storage (for example anistat:stats, grid:game:12, or settings:names for how anime names are shown). They never leave your device and we cannot see them. They are needed for the site to work: to keep one game per day, to show your stats and to calculate the Otakumeter. We do not use cookies for this.
If you close the bottom bar, the site remembers it only until you close the tab, in your browser’s session storage (ads:bar-closed).
You can see and delete this data at any time in Privacy settings, or by clearing your browser’s site data for Anigrid. Deleting it erases your stats.
2. Otakumeter: AniList and MyAnimeList lists
If you use the Otakumeter with a list:
- AniList username: your browser asks AniList’s public API directly for that public list. We don’t receive it. AniList’s own privacy policy applies to that request.
- MyAnimeList username: your browser asks our server, which asks MyAnimeList’s official API for the public list and sends it back to you. We don’t store the list or the username on our server.
- Uploaded files (MyAnimeList export, AniList JSON, text or CSV): they are read inside your browser and are never uploaded to us.
- If you link a list, the username is saved in your browser so the result can refresh when you come back. “Unlink” deletes it.
Only enter usernames of public lists. Results are calculated on your device.
3. Suggestions
If you send a suggestion with the “Suggestions” form, we store the name you write (optional), the topic, the message, the page you sent it from, your browser’s language and the date, only to read it and improve the site. We don’t store your IP address with it and we don’t use cookies for it. Suggestions are deleted automatically after 12 months. To have one deleted sooner, write to info@anigrid.net.
4. Information collected automatically
Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare, Inc.) processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The provider keeps these logs for a short period under its own policy.
The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the fonts are downloaded.
Anime cover art and character images are small copies served from our own site (through Cloudflare); playing does not send requests to AniList or MyAnimeList.
Donations: the “Donate” button opens Ko-fi (ko-fi.com), a separate service. If you donate, Ko-fi and its payment providers (such as PayPal) process your payment under their own privacy policies; we only receive what Ko-fi shares with creators (for example, the name and message you choose to leave).
5. Advertising
Anigrid does not show ads at the moment and does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Some pages show empty boxes marked “Ad” where ads may go in the future; they don’t load anything from third parties. If we add ads, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before any advertising cookies are used.
6. What we don’t do
We don’t ask for your email or password, and your name is only optional when you send a suggestion. We don’t sell personal information. We don’t build profiles of you.
7. Children
Anigrid is a general-audience site and is not directed at children. It is intended for users aged 13 or older (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your rights
Since we hold almost no personal data, most of it is under your control in your own browser. You still have the right to ask us about any personal data we may hold, and to have it corrected or deleted, by writing to info@anigrid.net. If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Argentina (Law 25,326): the data subject has the right to access their personal data free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is shown (art. 14, para. 3). The Agency for Access to Public Information (AAIP), as the supervisory authority of Law 25,326, handles complaints and claims from people whose rights are affected by non-compliance with personal data protection rules.
9. Third-party services
Anime data comes from AniList and MyAnimeList, among other public sources. Donations go through Ko-fi. Following links to those or other sites is subject to their own policies.
10. Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date above. Important changes will be announced on the site.
